Beginner and Junior Lessons
Director of golf Aaron Galbraith heads up the coaching regime at Canterbury, where there is particular emphasis on group and individual lessons for junior players and beginners.
Aaron plays a prominent role in all aspects of the coaching and is fortunate to have an established and experienced team at his disposal, from within the pro shop and through the club's attached teaching professionals.
This enables Canterbury to provide a first-class service for the increasing number of juniors who are being attracted to the club as well as anyone who is new to the sport.
Regular Sunday sessions are held for juniors, from learning the basic skills to moving on to the course. For details contact the pro shop by phoning 01227 453532, then click option 2 or email golfops@canterburygolfclub.co.uk.
“Please convey my gratitude to everyone at the club for making our Autumn Meeting so enjoyable. The course was in excellent condition, thanks to the greenstaff who had to contend with heavy overnight rain. The catering was excellent and the waiting staff and bar staff were so helpful in making our day special.
“Finally, thank you to all in the office who helped to make the day run smoothly after some members encountered problems with traffic jams.”
- Marion Sellar, Captain, Society of Lady Captains of Kent Golf Clubs -
"Our society plays Canterbury every year for good reason. It's a beautiful and challenging course, complemented by an excellent driving range, pro shop and two practice greens.
"The bar is well-stocked with a varied menu and the office staff are always friendly and helpful."
- Nigel Stevenson, St Stephen's GS, Kent -
"Thank you for hosting our society and please pass our thanks to all your staff, from the pro shop to the catering team, who made us feel most welcome.

"Thanks for a most enjoyable visit yesterday. All went well - we avoided the thunderstorm which arrived as we finished - and the course was in excellent condition. The service from the chef and team and pro shop was equally good."
– Alan Queree, The Plough Inn GS (PIGS), Crowhurst –
"I would like to say how much my wife and I, together with a couple of friends, enjoyed our meal on Sunday. I would also like to make particular mention of the exceptional service from the waiting staff. Nothing was too much trouble. We are not members but were staying in our motorhomes at the nearby campsite." Click here to read full email.
